Kelly_Gweneth0228.jpg
Gwyneth Paltrow took the stage at Sunday night?s Oscars to perform ?Coming Home? from Country Strong, and while walking the red carpet, she told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush of a possible record deal that is in the works.

?We?re talking about it now,? Gwyneth said. ?So, we?ll see.?

Gwyneth recently told Yahoo! that although Country Strong has ended, we haven?t seen the end to her singing career.

?I think there definitely will be singing in my future. I know that I won?t stop singing and playing guitar,? she said.

As for one fellow singer who is anxious for the release of Gwyneth?s first album, Kelly Clarkson has admitted she is a huge fan!

?Gwyneth Paltrow, please make an album,? Kelly tweeted. ?You have such an honest and captivating voice!?

Academy Awards Fashion Face-Off: Anne Hathaway vs. Scarlett Johansson

Normally, some might consider it a fashion faux pas to wear red on the red carpet, but if you're Anne Hathaway, you can pull it off with flying colors.

The Oscar host looked absolutely ravishing last night. Scarlett Johansson, on the other hand? Well, at least one person thought she looked amazing.

Her dress is gorgeous, but the actress' hair gives the impression she got it on in a limousine on the way there. Major JBF hair, ScarJo. We like it.

Which style star wins this battle? Let your votes decide!

Christopher Nolan Calls 'Dark Knight Rises' His Last Batman Film

'We're very much excited about really finishing a trilogy and giving a conclusion to our story,' filmmaker says on Oscars red carpet.
By Shawn Adler

Over nearly 70 years as the World's Greatest Detective, Batman has followed clues, pursued investigations and pounded out confessions from a diverse rogues' gallery as tight-lipped and unresponsive as they come. But never mind the Joker or the Penguin: If the Dark Knight wanted a real challenge, he should try getting information from his director, Christopher Nolan.

The ever-reserved Nolan was predictably and amusingly coy when asked about "The Dark Knight Rises" on the red carpet at the Academy Awards, where the 40-year-old was a double nominee in the categories of Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay for "Inception."

We asked Nolan what the theme of "The Dark Knight Rises" would be, with fear such a major subtext in "Batman Begins" and escalation in "The Dark Knight." "Wow, that's a tricky one. I actually don't have an answer for you today," Nolan smiled, having already finished the script for the film, which is set to begin shooting in a few months. "I'm gonna have to really think about that."

When asked about the casting choices of Thomas Hardy for Bane and Anne Hathaway for Selina Kyle, a.k.a. Catwoman, Nolan replied, "Once you see the film in 2012, you will completely understand why they were the perfect choice for these characters."

On one note, however, Nolan was incredibly emphatic: This will be his last Batman film.

"Yes," he said when asked if he was done with the franchise after "The Dark Knight Rises." "We're very much excited about really finishing a trilogy and giving a conclusion to our story. And that's what we're doing."

Starring a large cast led by newly minted Oscar-winner Christian Bale, "The Dark Knight Rises" is scheduled to open on July 20, 2012.

Check out everything we've got on "The Dark Knight Rises."

James Franco And Anne Hathaway Dive Into 'Inception' For Oscar Hosting Tips

Academy Awards opener features Leonardo DiCaprio, Alec Baldwin in 'Inception'-themed tribute to year's best.
By Gil Kaufman

It's become a time-honored Oscar opening bit: inserting the show's host into the year's Best Picture nominees. Only this time, it was hosts, plural, and for only the second time since 1986, they were not stand-up comedians whose forte is getting easy laughs.

After more than a month of speculation about how James Franco and Anne Hathaway would open Sunday night's 83rd annual Academy Awards ceremony, the tension was broken with a quick-cut montage of iconic images from this year's 10 Best Picture nominees, followed by Franco, 32, and Hathaway, 28, being digitally inserted into one of the year's most mind-twisting nominees, "Inception."

Check out photos of the 2011 Academy Awards show.

Star Leonardo DiCaprio attempted to explain how the whole dream-hopping worked to the couple, with Hathaway saying, "So, we're going to go into Alec Baldwin's dreams and get some hosting tips," as an incredulous Franco huffed, "You're buying this. ... I'm not going anywhere until you can prove you can take us into people's dreams."

As the streets of Paris exploded around them, Franco still wouldn't buy in, using his best tough-guy stance and pressing DiCaprio, "Gimme some proof ... one shred of proof, Leo ... we're waitin'." The pair then ended up on a plane with DiCaprio and Baldwin, with the "30 Rock" star and 2010 Oscar co-host slugging down a juice box of Ambien to calm his nerves, but passing out before giving Hathaway the secret to hosting the show.

They were next transported to a courtroom, where Hathaway took issue with Franco's use of a driedel as his talisman to check whether he was in a dream (if you haven't seen "Inception," then you were just slightly more confused than those of us who had). They ended up in a yelling match with "The Social Network" star Jesse Eisenberg as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, telling the socially awkward billionaire that his brusque dismissal of their request for help had just cost him a few Facebook friends. "And tell the Winklevosses to stop giving me the stink eye," Franco added.

The "Inception" elevator took them to the sweaty gym in "The Fighter," where Hathaway donned her best round the way Boston girl accent to chat up Mark Wahlberg's Micky Ward about who is a bigger junkbag. After knocking Franco out, she hopped on a horse to face off against "True Grit" star Jeff Bridges, with Franco snuggling up behind her in a bearskin coat and Hathaway sporting not one but two eye patches.

The search continued in "The King's Speech," where they worked period costumes. But those were nothing compared to the ones they squeezed into for the "Black Swan" bit, where Franco was shoehorned into a skintight white leotard and his co-host a Thanksgiving turkey-inspired getup. "The dance of the brown duck," Hathaway intoned as she spun wildly, shedding feathers and quacking her way through a routine that horrified star Natalie Portman.

They finally found Baldwin again, who played some mind games with them before they jumped into the DeLorean time machine from "Back to the Future" and jetted into the present, winding up on the stage in their awards-show finest. Franco, holding a cell phone to record his moment in the sun, wore a classic tuxedo, while Hathaway emerged in an elegant white floor-length gown with beaded accents.

"Oh my gosh, you're all real," she marveled. "This is actually happening!" Lowering the collective age of presenters by 55 years from last year, first-time hosts Franco and Hathaway — the latter the youngest host in history and one of the only women to ever have the honor — quickly dispensed with any questions about why they were tapped for the gig. "Anne, I must say you look so beautiful and so hip," said Franco in his signature smiling deadpan manner. "Thank you, James," she replied. "You look very appealing to a younger demographic as well."

Both had promised they would not follow in the footsteps of comedian Ricky Gervais, who did a bombing run at the Golden Globes, strafing most of Hollywood with his acerbic wit. Instead they ended up making fun of themselves. Franco said it was an exciting night for both hosts since they were both nominated, but Hathaway quickly reminded him that unlike his Best Actor nod for "127 Hours," she was not noticed for her work in the romantic dramedy "Love and Other Drugs."

"You know, it used to be you get naked, you get nominated," she complained. "Not anymore, not anymore." She then explained to Franco what an honor it is to be nominated and how if he won, everyone would refer to him as "Academy Award winner James Franco." He had to think about that. "What do you mean everyone?" he said, confused after asking if the little golden man came with a cash prize as well. "Like even my mom? That would be weird if my mom called me 'Academy Award winner James Franco.' I've known her a long time."

Hathaway's mom reminded her from the audience to stand up straight because, you know, three-time Oscar winner Steven Spielberg is in the house, while Franco's grandma was jacked to see "Marky Mark" Wahlberg in the crowd.

Both came off as relaxed and natural as they joked about the profusion of lesbians in this year's nominated films and quickly segued into the night's first award presentation by Tom Hanks for Best Art Direction.

Bachelor?s Shawntel: My Job Is Hurting My Love Life

Bachelor0223.jpg Shawntel Newton?s natural beauty and sparkling personality took her all the way to the final four on The Bachelor. But when it came time for Brad Womack to choose the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with, Shawntel?s career as an embalmer and funeral director was too much for Brad to handle.

?Brad was totally creeped out by my profession,? Shawntel tells In Touch. ?You could just see it from the look on his face.?

After Brad visited her hometown of Chico, Calif., and saw her in action at the Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home, it became all too real for the Bachelor, and Shawntel admits that she wasn?t surprised when he sent her packing.

?Knowing that I grew up in the [funeral home] business, and may very well take over my dad?s side of the partnership, he said, ?I don?t know if I could even deal with death myself,?? she says. ?I think it was an eye-opener for him.?

And in a way, it was an eye-opener for Shawntel, too.

?I?m proud of my profession,? she shares. ?Whomever I wind up with will accept that, and unfortunately, I haven?t found that guy. I realized Brad and I weren?t meant to be together.?

Rihanna-Ciara Beef Begins With Fashion Police Crack, Escalates on Twitter

You really gotta love Twitter. Celebrity feuds begin suddenly over nothing and spiral out of control for all to enjoy so efficiently in this high-tech day and age.

Today's star-studded social media beef: Ciara and Rihanna!

On Joan Rivers’ Fashion Police last night, the host was discussing with Ciara some absurd outfit Rihanna had worn (take your pick). That's when Ciara said:

Sexy CiaraBeautiful Ri

IT'S SO ON: When diva singers attack with Blackberrys!

"I ran into her recently at a party and she wasn’t the nicest, and it’s crazy because I’ve always respected what she’s done with fashion and I’ve ran into her before, but this time it just wasn’t the most pleasant run-in, so ..."

That thought was completed by Rivers: "…a bitch. Next!"

No sooner had the show aired, Rihanna took to her Twitter page, fuming about the remarks, writing: "My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme."

It only got better from there ...

Not even an hour later, Ciara hit right back: “Trust me Rhianna u dont want to see me on or off the stage“ (notice the misspelt name….ouch).

Rihanna: “U gangsta huh? Haaa. Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of.“

Maybe because C didn't write back, Ri felt bad, offering the following olive branch Tweet a bit later: "Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I’m heartbroken! That’s y I retaliated this way! So sorry! #letsmakeup."

Ah, Twitter feuds. They start fast, but they also conclude promptly.

As the saying goes, sticks, stones and Chris Brown can break your bones and maybe even knock you unconscious, but Twitter trash talk is fleeting.

Cult Director Alex Cox On Hollywood Filmmaking: The Studios Have Won

Maybe a year or so ago, some of my online colleagues posted a trailer for Alex Cox's then-forthcoming film 'Repo Chick.' As a longtime fan of 'Repo Man,' I eagerly hunted down the clip in anticipation of what I assumed would be the director's return to form after seemingly decades of silence. But what I saw was dramatically different than anything I could have expected - a shoestring special effects extravaganza that bore little resemblance to the gritty punk universe of its predecessor, much less Cox's many other memorable films, including 'Sid and Nancy' and 'Straight to Hell.' So I did the only thing I could think of: I hunted down Cox himself and interviewed him about the film, which at the time was in no position to be released theatrically, on hone video, or via any other format.

Just a few weeks ago, 'Repo Chick' finally arrived on Blu-ray, so it seemed like an appropriate time to revisit my lengthy chat with the director. In addition to talking about the technical and artistic inspirations for 'Repo Chick,' Cox talked about his longtime absence from Hollywood, his continuing creative evolution, and finally, the process of bringing his filmography to digital formats like DVD and Blu-ray.

'Hall Pass' Stars Recall Best And Worst Pickup Lines

Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis and Jenna Fischer quip about some memorable dating experiences with MTV News.
By Kara Warner

Jason Sudeikis and Owen Wilson in "Hall Pass"
Photo: New Line Cinema

Those who have seen the trailer for Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis' new comedy, "Hall Pass," know that in the Farrelly brothers-directed film, the duo embark upon a series of zany misadventures after obtaining "hall passes" — basically a one-week vacation/break from their marriages — from their wives. During this marital hiatus, the boys do everything they can to pick up women, oftentimes using the most outlandish and ridiculous of pickup lines.

When MTV News caught up with Wilson, Sudeikis and fellow co-star Jenna Fischer recently during the film's press day, we asked them to share their go-to lines, as well as a few they've used with success.

"Hi, I'm Jason Sudeikis," Wilson quipped, which prompted a witty exchange between him and the "Saturday Night Live" star.

"Aw, that's very nice of you," Sudeikis said. "Does that work for you?"

"Yeah!" Wilson exclaimed, laughing.

And then Sudeikis focused a bit, seeming to put some thought into the question, only to make room for more for Wilson laughter and more back-and-forth banter between the two.

"My most successful one is, 'How much do you cost?' " Sudeikis joked. "And you have to use that specifically."

"Hold that for Valentine's Day," Wilson advised, even though Sudeikis clearly wasn't paying attention and went on with reciting bad pickup techniques.

" 'Are those real?' " Sudeikis said. " 'Your eyes. I'm talking about your dreams.' "

" 'Are they realistic?' " Wilson added.

Fine, fine. If they won't take the question seriously then we won't. Next up, a few of the best and worst pickup lines the fellow castmembers have heard over the years.

"Usually women will insult me," Sudeikis explained. " 'I don't see why you're so great.' And then, for some reason, I find that completely alluring."

"Ok, I'm going to win you over!" Wilson added. "Ok, sit right here. Settle in for the next hour or three — here we go," he joked.

Following with the theme of insults as pickup lines, Jenna Fischer recalled a particular unsettling experience.

"I had this guy come up to me at a bar when I was much younger and he had said, 'I bet I can guess your weight and if I do, can I get a kiss?' And I thought to myself, 'What?! No! What woman wants to talk about her weight? What if you're wrong? What if you're right? I don't care, anyway,' " she said. "The idea that you just approached me with the most objectified vision of me, you whittled me down to a number, was so offensive."

Needless to say, Fischer was not particularly receptive to that line.

"He did not get a kiss," she added.

Check out everything we've got on "Hall Pass."

Lady Gaga Confirms There Are Two 'Born This Way' Videos

Proceeds from 'stripped-down' clip and song will go to 'anti-bully charity,' she tells Gayle King.
By Jocelyn Vena

Lady Gaga sat down with Oprah Winfrey's bestie, Gayle King, to discuss her forthcoming Nick Knight-directed videos for her chart-topping single "Born This Way," from her May album of the same name.

"I do have some exciting news about the new single. I've been so excited about [the fans'] reaction and seeing the fans be so excited during the show every time we play 'Born This Way,' it's been really amazing," she told King. "I've made two music videos for the song."

Gaga then went on to confirm that portions of the proceeds from the sale of the "stripped-down" version of the song, which will get its own video (further details about that clip were not known at press time), will go to charity. "So there's one that's coming out on Monday," she explained. "But then I'm actually putting together another video, which is a more stripped-down version of the song that will be released on iTunes and also released as an audio file. A portion of the money raised selling the song is actually going to go towards an anti-bully charity."

Mum has been the word on what the videos will actually be like. Though Gaga, in a recent radio interview, noted that the visual is about "the birth of a new race within the race of humanity. The birth of a new race that doesn't bear any prejudices. I think the most important thing is that I continue to grow, and I knew when I put [out] 'BTW' it would be a transitional moment, because it doesn't sound like [my previous singles]."

What are you expecting from the "Born This Way" videos? Let us know in the comments!

Best Movie Art Ever (This Week): The Wild Cinema of Dan Hipp

This week on Best Art Ever (This Week) we're celebrating the work of the ultra cool illustrator Dan Hipp!

Dan Hipp is one of comics' more idiosyncratic creators. His style is a unique, simultaneous blend of cartoony cuteness with hyper-colored violence and is heavy with sophisticated design elements. Hipp seems compelled to create new artwork all the time, often in the form of cartoons based on famous moments from films and television series, seemingly for no other reason than because they're awesome. He keeps a record of this beautiful if slightly deranged work at his blog, where you can also purchase the original artwork of some pieces.

Fans of Cartoon Network's 'Ben 10' will want to check out Hipp's work in the 'Ben 10: Alien Force - Doom Dimension' graphic novels, but for pure, intravenous Hipp, make sure to pick up his epic revenge opus 'GYAKUSHU!' and the rock 'n roll action piece, 'The Amazing Joy Buzzards.'

Want more? Check out ComicsAlliance's Best Art Ever (This Week).

WANT TO CONTRIBUTE?

We're very much interested to see what you've dug up and think should be featured here. Please submit any great art links here. here. Artists, feel free to send in your own work; we won't judge you (publicly).

'Drive Angry' Cheat Sheet: Everything You Need To Know!

MTV News has been on the road with the Nicolas Cage flick since the start.
By Eric Ditzian

David Morse and Nicolas Cage in "Drive Angry"
Photo: Summit Publicity

"Drive Angry" is perhaps the Nicolas Cage-iest Nicolas Cage movie ever. The ever-unpredictable, often wacky, potentially out-of-his-gourd actor stars as a man who literally breaks out of hell to exact a bloody, muscle-car-assisted revenge plot ... in 3-D. It's deeply weird stuff, and yet, with Cage at the center of it all, it makes a whole lot of sense.

MTV News, it should be said, has been at the center of "Drive Angry" coverage, securing the very first interview about the project and continuing to track it from the first trailer to the brink of opening weekend. Read on for everything you need to know about the movie before it hits theaters Friday (February 25).

Going on the Road
Coming off the $100 million success of 2009's "My Bloody Valentine," director Patrick Lussier and his writing partner, Todd Farmer, asked themselves one question: "What movie do we want to see and what movie do we want to shoot in 3-D?" as Lussier later explained to us.

"We didn't really have anything in mind beyond that," he added. "We started writing an opening scene about a guy named Milton killing these three guys called the F---ers, who are totally scared sh--less and totally deserve it. From there, 'Drive Angry' was born. We wanted to come up with something that wasn't a horror movie but was just a hard-R, action-driven road movie, because that would be a great film to see in 3-D."

Ditching any notion of converting the film to three dimensions during post-production, Lussier hauled 3-D cameras down to Shreveport, Louisiana, and began shooting in the spring of 2010. To share the screen with Cage, Lussier hired Amber Heard to play a sassy waitress who gets pulled into Cage's scheme and William Fichtner as the agent of the devil's evil agenda.

3-D, From Scratch
When we caught up with Cage in the spring at Wonder-Con, he joked that the pollen in Louisiana made him sound like an "old blues singer" and raved about how the flick would meld an old-school cinematic vibe with cutting-edge technology.

"It's like if you got to see an old '70s action movie, but in 3-D," he explained. "We're doing something semi-historical, because it's the first 3-D movie shot [in the] style of a '70s action film. You could see Charles Bronson or [Clint] Eastwood [starring in a film like this] in those days."

Months later, with the shoot behind him and his voice back to normal, Cage marveled at how he escaped the production injury-free. "In this case, I did quite a few stunts with people literally on the hood of the car driving at very high speeds, so it reminded me of those old movies where you have people on top of the wing of a biplane," he said. "It was a little intense. That was definitely new to me and I was always very concerned about the stunt people I was working with."

Hell on Earth
The film's first trailer popped up online in October and featured everything we could have hoped for: big guns and fast cars, Cage walking slowly away from explosions without looking back, and fab lines like, "Hell already is walking the Earth." Months later, a Super Bowl ad delivered further peeks at the hard-R craziness. There's action aplenty, and that's exactly how Lussier planned it.

"We have this great car chase with Nic's character chasing after Amber Heard's character, who's in the middle of a fight inside this RV," he teased of one scene. "You're in this claustrophobic space, and suddenly you're outside with Nic in hot pursuit. There's all sorts of gunplay on the road. It's spectacular."

Kanye Wests Booed At Chicago Bulls Game + 50 Cent Buys Floyd Mayweather A Rolls Royce For His Bday

Kanye West showed up at the Chicago Bulls/Miami Heat game yesterday and was met with a round of boos. Hmm...I wonder why?  Inside, we consider what made the crowd "turn" on Kayne and we drool over the new Rolls Royce 50 Cent bought his BFF Floyd Mayweather...

It seems like Chicago Bulls fans are not feeling Kanye West right now.  We can't pinpoint the reason why because Kanye is always p*ssing people off.

We told you earlier about his controversial tweet saying some women use "abortions" as a money making schemes.  That particular tweet did not go over well with most people.

Also...word on the street was that Kanye sat on the Miami Heat's side of the United Center in Chicago.  Dude...you are from Chicago and you sit with the opposing team?  That's shade.

So it could be one of those reasons...who knows?

And in other news about rappers....

50 Cent just bought his BFF Floyd Mayweather a Rolls Royce for his bday.

,

I'm not sure if Floyd got the model as a part of the package deal, but nevertheless, it's fab with or without her.

Marathon Man: The Blaxploitation Essentials

(Welcome to Marathon Man: the monthly column where I examine a series of films and compare, contrast and analyze them until either your brain or mine explodes.)

Introduction

The term "blaxploitation" conjures up some very specific images for many movie fans. Afros. Poor production values. Awesome soundtracks. Sweet clothes. Cool-as-ice black people kicking the stuffing out of evil white people who have been been up to all kinds of no good.

A genre so easily parodied, so incredibly undervalued and so under-watched by modern audiences, it is often easy to forget why "Black Exploitation" films are not only a fascinating cinematic time capsule, but a massive cultural leap forward: black actors, often working with black filmmakers (although almost always financed by rich white guys) making films for black audiences. Although it's been argued that these violent, explicit films, with their depictions of African Americans as gangsters, pimps and drug dealers, ultimately did more harm than good, it's the first instance of the African American voice making itself heard in Hollywood, paving the way for a new generation of black filmmakers. They are, for better or worse, a cultural milestone.

February is Black History Month. While it may be more politically correct to honor that by holding a marathon of Spike Lee or Sidney Poitier films, a marathon of eight blaxploitation classics sure sounds like a lot of fun.

Exclusive: Teen Mom Leah?s Love Triangle

TeenMom0223.jpg
Leah Messer is often referred to as the ?responsible? Teen Mom ? the hard-working mother of twins who put her wild days firmly behind her when she married her baby daddy, Corey Simms, 20. But Leah may not be the girl whom viewers ? and Corey ? think she is. In Touch has learned that when her husband?s back is turned, Leah has been secretly getting together with her bad-boy ex Seth George ? and indulging what a friend of hers calls her ?wild streak.?

?She has definitely met up with Seth without telling Corey,? says a friend, who adds that with Seth, Leah ?has fun and feels like a teenager again.?

As devoted as she is to her girls Aleeah and Aliannah, 1, now, the friend says it was a ?total shock? when Leah discovered she was pregnant, just one month after meeting Corey. Feeling lonely and overwhelmed by new motherhood, Leah first cheated on Corey with bad-boy ex Robbie Kidd. Shortly after her fling ended, Leah, 19, hooked up with Seth and things ?got serious,? the friend says.

But before long, she shifted her attention back to Corey, making a desperate play to try and win him back. The pair did reconcile, getting married in October ? but there was something Corey didn?t know.

?She was still dating Seth last summer, when she was trying to get back together with Corey,? the friend says, adding that even as she begged him to give her another chance, Leah ?never told Corey about Seth.?

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones: London Landing

Setting out ahead of the weekend, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas and their two kids were spotted arriving at the Heathrow Airport in London, England on Friday (February 25).

The ?Chicago? chick and her ?Wall Street? hubby shuffled their children along as they entered the UK terminal before taking flight.

Yesterday, Jones was named Commander of the Order of the British Empire and just a few hours after receiving the high honor, she and hubby were confronted by an aggressive group of paparazzi.

Apparently, Catherine was hit in the face by a paparazzo and screamed out, ?I want a police officer right now. He punched me.?

Luckily, Douglas swooped in to rescue his wife and ended up shoving the photog out of the way.

Nelly Opens Up About Sister's Death On 'Behind The Music'

'I just broke down,' rapper says on March 7 episode.

Nelly had always been public about his sister's health issues, from fighting for bone-marrow donors in an effort to save her life to speaking about how her death affected him. But the rapper has yet to discuss the details surrounding the day she died in 2005 after a two-year battle with leukemia.

In the March 7 episode of VH1's "Behind the Music," however, the St. Louis star finally opens up about the last conversation he had with his big sis, Jacqueline Donahue. He was on the road and was unaware of the severity of her declining health, he said.

"Jackie gets on the phone and I'm like, 'Hey, sis,' " Nelly said, recalling the ordeal. "She's so medicated. The pain got so severe, and there was nothing they could do. They drugged her up just to subdue the pain. I talked to her for about 20, 25 minutes. And she gets off the phone and she lays down, and she's gone. They said the only thing that kept her alive was that she wanted to talk to me before she left."

The news of his sister's death immediately took a toll on him. "I was enraged," Nelly explained. "We had this door in the back where my room was; I split the door straight down the middle, just punched it."

Nelly then punched a TV screen, shattering the monitor. "I just destroyed everything that was back there and I just broke down," he said.

The rapper eventually took time off from his career before rebounding last year with 5.0 after 2008's commercial disappointment Brass Knuckles.

'Drive Angry' Stars Discuss Film's Most Outrageous Moments

'I'm still kind of amazed that they let me drink beer out of somebody's skull,' Nicolas Cage marvels to MTV News.

If the trailers haven't already sold the fact that "Drive Angry" is outrageous, in every sense of the word, allow the cast of the film -- Nicolas Cage, Amber Heard, Billy Burke and William Fichtner -- to expand on the subject, particularly the scenes they thought would be left on the cutting-room floor.

"I'm still kind of amazed that they let me drink beer out of somebody's skull," Cage admitted to MTV News recently of his character's most over-the-top antics. "That that's still in the movie, and it's a credit to [director] Patrick Lussier that he had the guts to go in the most far-out places."

"Only in our movie, in the world of 'Drive Angry,' " Heard said.

"I wanted it to look good, like, 'My cup runneth over,' " Cage explained of the big moment. "I wanted the beer to come sploshing out of the eye sockets."

Burke, who plays a very disturbed and psychotic cult leader hell-bent on infant sacrifice in the film, said he figured that one of the film's climactic scenes would receive a less intensely violent edit.

"I thought that we would probably change sacrificing a baby to maybe a lamb or something like that," Burke said. "I didn't think that we'd actually go forward with wanting to kill a baby, but we did, and that's the kind of movie this is. So if you can't take that, for the fun and spirit in which it's intended, then you shouldn't go see this movie," he advised.

For scene-stealer Fichtner, who plays the mysterious character the Accountant, he was most surprised that a very racy/violent love scene made the cut.

"There was one scene in the movie, we all know which one I'm talking about [a 'creative' sex scene in which Cage engages in a gunfight with a naked woman still on top of him] where I thought, 'Wow, that's interesting,' " he said. "That's a challenge."

In addition to the outrageousness of wrapping your head around what happens in that scene, Fichtner said he has great respect for the actors and stunt coordinators who made it happen.

"Patrick [Lussier] did an amazing job and so did Charlotte [Ross] and Nic," he said. "It's much more than just a sex scene."
