Although Dancing With the Stars will be missing its three-time mirror ball trophy-winning dancer when it returns to ABC in March, Derek Hough tells In Touch he will definitely be returning, most likely next fall.
?It's really weird to be on the outside looking in?? he says. ?When it starts, it usually ends up being fantastic, so you never know how the cast is going to be, even if you don't know who they are."
Unfortunately, Derek says we shouldn?t expect to see him as a spectator in the ballroom this season.
?I'll be on location shooting the entire time,? he says, referring to his role in the upcoming dance movie Cobu 3D, which is slated to film in New York and Toronto this spring.
As for how his sister Julianne Hough?s beau Ryan Seacrest fits in with the family, Derek says he?s ?on the ball.?
?He's a really, really great guy, really down to Earth, really funny,? he says.
And when asked if they?ll get married anytime soon, Derek smiles and adds, ?I don?t think about that [laughs].?
